Man in wheelchair hit by truck

An accident on State Road 933 and Clifford Street injured a man in a wheelchair Friday. St. Joe County Police say a pickup truck was going southbound when it hit the man.

Police say the wheelchair was going the opposite direction when it made an abrupt turn into the path of the truck.

The man in the wheelchair was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries. The pickup driver was not injured.
