Frontier's inaugural flight from South Bend Airport

Frontier airlines had its inaugural departure from the South Bend Airport to the Mile High City this morning.

A ceremony was held an hour before the flight to Denver was scheduled to leave..
Passengers got some goodie bags to mark the occasion.
There was even a water cannon sendoff..
It looked like a perfect bridge of water going over the plane as it was taxiing for take off.

"Once you get to Denver you can connect to 80 different destinations. There's 22 in the west alone, two in Canada, we fly to Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Jamaica," said Frontier Airlines Director of Sales Andrea Tollar.

Each plane has a different design of an animal.   They're called spokes-animals.
Today's flight featured a bobcat.
