Six animals, including four horses, were seized by the Saint Joseph County Humane Society Thursday morning.
The animals were taken from a home near Lakeville off Quinn Road. They include one pony, four horses and a calf.
John Minier with The Saint Joseph County Humane Society says the animals were being neglected and had not been fed in quite some time.
"If you want an animal, take care of the animal. I know the price of hay is goin' up and everything, ya know take care of them, somehow take care of them, that's all you gotta do instead of letting them get skinny or starving to death or like that," said Minier.
Currently, no arrests have been made or charges filed against the owner of the animals.
