Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly said Thursday that quarterback Everett Golson may not start in Saturday's game against BYU. It will be a game day decision.
Golson suffered a concussion on the helmet-to-helmet hit in the 4th quarter of the Stanford game. Notre Dame says he was cleared by doctors to return to practice on Wednesday. Kelly says Golson practiced both Wednesday and Thursday.
Kelly says the decision about playing Golson against BYU will be related to his health, not his performance on the field.
Kelly says Golson, Tommy Rees and Andrew Hendrix will all be considered for the starting role.
