Officials with the St. Joseph County Clerk's Office say St. Joe County Clerk Terri Rethlake is in the hospital being treated for a possible case of meningitis.
Rethlake's Chief Deputy Rita Glenn tells FOX 28 Rethlake was hospitalized Monday. Glenn says Rethlake received a steroid shot in her back on September 20, 2012. Glenn did not say where Rethlake received the shot. Glenn says doctors are still working to confirm a diagnosis of meningitis.
Rethlake is said to be in "good spirits" and "she appreciates all the thoughts and prayers" being sent her way.
A spokesperson at Memorial Hospital tells us Rethlake is in good condition.
