Wine tasting and fine art certainly go hand in hand, and people enjoyed just that on Friday night at Dean's Place, a gallery in Granger.
Loucks unveiled his new copper art and also let us in on a big announcement. He will be doing a large 3-D sculpture for the Plymouth Community School District.
They've commissioned him to create the huge piece for a modern high-tech addition to their school. Loucks says he's already started the creative process and is excited.
"This is just, it's a fun project," said Loucks. "I've donated a lot to make this thing happen and I want to work with the schools. I want to work with the community and show that we're there to take something like this and turn it into something to be around for a long time." The project will take a few months.
Incidentally, you can see more of Loucks' work Tuesday on FOX28 News at 10. I sat down with him to get his story both at his gallery and in his shop. This local, but world renowned artist paints everything from pianos, to motorcycles, to R.V.'s and planes.
