Red Ribbon week is fast approaching. The red ribbon symbolizes a commitment to drug and alcohol-free lifestyles.
The week kicks off Monday with a march from the Colfax Culture Center to the Kroc Center. After the march, kids will share their anti-drug and alcohol messages with skits.
One of the organizers, Gladys Muhammad, says this is a fun way to deliver a serious message. "To focus on not doing drugs. Also participate in a march in a healthy way to get involved and actively engage in doing something good for themselves," said Muhammad
If you're interested in marching, just be at the Colfax Center at 9:30am on October 26th. Kids get a free shirt and several members of the community will be there including Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
