What could be better than food and music?
That was the combination at today Foodstock, a part of the United Way initiative called People Gotta Eat. There was all you can eat chili, a cake walk, and a rock band.
Tickets were only five dollars and all proceeds went to the Food Pantries of St. Joseph County...
In hopes to serve a very big need in the community.
"Unfortunately we're seeing about 20-22 thousand people coming to the pantries each and every month. If you think about 22-thousand people in our county, that's a lot of people and many of them are older adults and children," says Karen Sommers, vice president of community investment for United Way.
This was the third annual event and in the past it has raised around 2-thousand dollars.
