Walking through, you wouldn't believe it's only a garage. But owner John Hoke has poured tons of money and time into making a scary experience for everyone.
"It's something I've always wanted to do," says Hoke.
From the outside, it looks like a typical house, but this is the third year Hoke completely transformed the inside of his Granger home.
"It started with the yard and the graveyard, nothing big and I remember having this thought that I wanted to do something in the garage and it just kinda got bigger from there every year."
He's put $13,000 of his own money towards the project and he doesn't charge visitors a dime.
"If someone doesn't have the funds, they can still come through and enjoy it, but donations are greatly appreciated."
Money raised goes to Pet Refuge. And this year if you donate, you will get through the line faster. Just like the big theme parks, Hoke has a fast pass! Something that's handy considering last year 800 people showed up in just three nights that he's open.
"People always have great comments and the feedback I get is just fantastic. I know from going to haunted houses and other mansions, that it's good," says Hoke.
"We think it's great, it gets everyone in the holiday spirit," says neighbor, Katrina McGovern.
She says people are always surprised by how good it is. "When you think 'garage,' it's not going to be that big of a deal, but the special effects in there, the scare is great."
They are open Friday and Saturday night and then on Halloween night.
