The LaPorte County Prosecutor's Office is looking into possible charges after a woman says a man took a picture up her skirt at an area K-Mart.
The 19-year-old woman says she was shopping at the store on State Road when a man with a cell phone approached her. She says he lowered his hand below her skirt line and she head a "click sound."
The woman says when she confronted the man he quickly walked to and exit, ignoring her demands to hand over his phone. The woman took pictures of the man and his vehicle, including the license plate, and turned those over to police.
An employee of the store told police that the suspect had parked
right next to her that morning and sat in his vehicle for over and hour
before he went into the store.
Police found that the plate belongs to a registered violent sexual predator. They have forwarded the information to the prosecutor's office.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
