Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o has been named a National Scholar Athlete and has received an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship. Add that to the list of awards Te'o is in-line for this season. But as would be expected, he is focused on the team, not individual accomplishments.
The Irish rank second in the nation in scoring defense and sixth in total defense, but the D-Boys will have their hands full with the 8th ranked Sooners.
Oklahoma averages more than 44 points per game. Rushing for more than 200 yards and quarterback Landry Jones is passing for 290 yards per contest.
Te'o and the defense know they have to be prepared for a potent O-U offense.
