This fall's harvest was celebrated Wednesday in South Bend.
The Unity Gardens held their taste of unity harvest celebration at the Jewish Federation.
Several chefs from area restaurants used food from the gardens for appetizers such as harvest tapas.
The event was held to celebrate National Food Day.
Unity Gardens Executive Director Sarah Stewart said,"First it was all about people and poverty and healthy food. Then it became more about growing community..growing diversity..people coming together and the value of healthy food. That creates opportunities for all of us."
A silent auction was held to raise money for the gardens.
