These summer-like days and the fall foliage have created a bit of a hazardous situation.
Area fire departments responded to a rash of brush and field fires, today.
People were out raking and burning their leaves.
And with today's wind, the flames were traveling fast.
Firefighters fought a large field fire in the Southwest fire territory, and another in Osceola...
And another was actually threatening a building.
Fire departments help one another on days like this and it stretches their resources.
They are asking people not to burn leaves at all in these conditions.
"It is a perfect storm. We've got a good dry fuel source right now and we've got wind conditions that could really spread fire far," said Penn Township Fire Batallion Chief Al Kirsits.
Again, Kirsits says people should not burn leaves, even in a special container right now.
