Warsaw man charged with sexual battery

Warsaw police have arrested a 53-year-old Warsaw man on sexual battery, saying he attacked a woman that he knew. Fred Christian was taken into custody early Friday morning.

Police say a 51-year-old Warsaw woman was assaulted back in September. The woman told police that lives in the same home as a friend of hers. She had gone to visit her friend, but they were not home. The woman says Christian assaulted and raped her.

According to police, Christian "admitted his involvement" during an October police interview.

This is one of two sexual assault arrests in Warsaw from Friday.
