BMX Star Brett Banasiewicz is currently recovering from injuries he suffered during a summer invitational. The Athlete Recovery Fund posted the following tweet including a video to Brett's Twitter account:
This is a short video shot with Brett during a day of rehabilitation. He has come a long ways and has quite a ways to go. He is inspired by his visitors and the people that tweet him encouraging words. He has a full schedule every day from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and more. Brett chose this song and gave us the approval on the video. FOX 28 sat down with Brett's mom Lisa earlier this week. She says she is traveling to and from Atlanta where Brett is undergoing hyperbaric treatment. It's a treatment that is rarely used in brain injuries, but is giving his family a lot of promise. "If I know Brett and I know his determination and love for the sport, I think he'll be back on that bike," she said.
