We're still a couple days away from official trick or treating, but youngsters began collecting their candy Sunday.
One Halloween event was a little bittersweet for an Elkhart County Church.
We first told you Saturday night about a fire that threatened Sunday morning services at the First Baptist on County Road 17.
Now, churchgoers are doing their best to move forward, holding their Trunk or Treat event in the church parking lot.
"Kids will be kids and in the midst of this they don't even know what happened. They're here to get candy and it's a great time tonight," said Pastor Phil Byars.
Services weren't held at the church Sunday morning because of the fire. Repairs to the main auditorium are expected to take two months.
