Michiana areas getting power back

Tuesday morning, over 9,000 Indiana Michigan Power customers were without power in Michiana. All day, crews were at work around the clock to bring that number down.

Dave Lefor, spokesperson for Indiana Michigan Power, said Wednesday that in South Bend there are 70 customers still without power. In VanBuren and Berrien County, there is around 500 who are waiting for their power to be turned on.

Lefor anticipates all customers will have power back by Wednesday around six pm.
