The Ronald McDonald family room celebrated its 10th anniversary today.
Its in the children's hospital at Memorial Hospital.
They had birthday balloons, gift bags and a banner with hand prints in the restaurant's signature colors.
The room has helped almost 14-thousand families with some much needed home comfort..
While kids are receiving treatments in the hospital.
"So blessed to have the family room here in the community to offer to parents so whether their child is in the NICU or in one of the pediatric units they can come a few foot steps away from where their child is being treated so they don't have to leave the hospital to get things," said Executive Director of Operations Shelley Lesniewicz.
Parents receive all the comforts of home including meals and a shower.
They are also in the process of trying to get an actual house for the Ronald McDonald House in South Bend.
No timeline yet on that though.
