Notre Dame fans react to Saturday's close call against Pitt

After a narrow win against Pitt at home the Irish are hoping they're lucky enough to keep their 3rd place ranking in the BCS.  Notre Dame beat Pitt 29-26 in triple overtime.  After an impressive road win against Oklahoma last week, fans were hoping their worries were over.  But did Saturday night's close call deflate some of the hype?  We took that question to the fans Sunday to see how they're feeling about the close call.  And there were definitely mixed reviews.  Some said they knew the Irish could do it while others weren't as confident.  Notre Dame Student Joe Wegener said,  "It was pretty tense I guess it was the closest we've come to losing a game."  Notre Dame Fan Shaun Finnie said, "I wasn't that nervous.  I thought given everything that's happened this year, seems like their year.  Though they would come back.  I felt pretty confident."  While another fan told us it's normal to have some close calls. "Any team that's gonna be unbeaten at this stage in the game and hasn't had a couple close scrapes, I think that's unrealistic," said Chris Fonk.

There were also mixed reviews when it comes to how this could affect Notre Dame's ranking in the polls.  Some fans think they'll drop behind Oregon while others say the Irish will stay where they are.
