A Howey-Depaw poll showed Democrat Joe Donnelly making a late surge against Republican Richard Mourdock for United States Senate.
He was accompanied by former US Senator Evan Bayh during a campaign stop at the South Bend Democratic Headquarters on the eve of Election day.
"We have one more day to work non-stop, to work to make sure that people have a chance to know that who we stand for is their family," says Donnelly.
Donnelly took the opportunity to thank all the people who've worked on his campaign.
His opponent's controversial comment is two weeks old, but Republican Richard Mourdock was making a final pitch Monday.
Mourdock told voters he would be the 51st vote to repeal the Federal Health Care overhaul.
He and Republican Senator Dan Coats stopped at a restaurant in Indianapolis Monday morning.
They greeted customers and delivered their "closing arguments" against Democratic candidate, Joe Donnelly.
Mourdock is dismissing a poll that shows Donnelly took a sizable lead among women voters after Mourdock's comment on pregnancy resulting from rape.
