A polling place in the 5800 Block of Beech in Osceola ran out of certain ballots this afternoon according to a poll worker at the location.
We're told poll workers alerted election officials they were running low on ballots for one of the two precincts represented at the same location. That happened around noon today. Officials say they ran out of one precinct's ballots at 3:00 PM.
Additional ballots were delivered to the polling place at 3:30 PM.
A polling official says during the half hour gap she offered voters several options. Those options included; wait for more ballots to arrive, come back later to vote, or vote for only the national and state races using the other precinct's ballot.
We're told about six people decided to just vote for the national and state races because they were unable to return later.
Others told the election official they would return and complete a full ballot.
The poll worker told FOX28 she was frustrated by the situation. She says she's worked at the polls for more about three decades and never experienced this before.
