It was a long night for Walorski...but nothing compared to the months and months of campaigning.
"You know its taken all of us, thousands of us a long time to complete this journey. And its just been such a humbling experience, it's become such a large part of our lives, you've become part of my family."
But she says the work is just beginning.
"All of us will be rolling up our sleeves tomorrow morning and we're going to be working to take the message of common sense Hoosiers, that rebuilt an economy, to Washington, DC, because Hoosiers got it right."
Before any of this celebrating, there was a lot of waiting.
"I totally expected it to be close, I think they did as well."
And it was. Close enough that every vote really did count, which is why counting votes went late into the night.
"It's been a roller-coaster ride."
But Walorski says, a worth while ride.
Walorski and her supporters have been on the edge of their seats waiting for the results to come in, but in the end it was the outcome they were hoping for.
