Election workers in St. Joseph County are in for another busy day Wednesday. They are reviewing how some of their precincts ran out of ballots during Tuesday's election.
Rita Glenn in the elections office told FOX28 News that it looks like it came down to there being two different ballots for voters. One was for voters the day of the election, and the other was the early/absentee voting ballot.
Glenn says they predicted more absentee voters than actually turned out. That meant that they had more absentee ballots than they needed, and not enough day of ballots.
They could not use the absentee ballots the day of, so they had to improvise with a variety of solutions until new ballots could be delivered.
