Nappanee Missionary Church is fighting childhood hunger with prepared meals. Eight-thousand volunteers packed 2.1 million meals for the Feed My Starving Children Program today.
Some of the volunteers were from the Hubbard Hill Community. Even some businesses and organizations chipped in for the cause.
"Its pretty exciting to see in a little area like this..we can have a difference that goes all around the world." David Engbrecht with the Nappanee Missionary Church.
The meals will go to a warehouse in Chicago. Then, in about three to four weeks, they'll be shipped to where they're most needed.
