A lot of people do the same thing for every away game. Whether it's going to the same bar to watch or throwing a watch party at home. But Saturday a group of St. Mary's Seniors may have just started a new tradition by bringing their dad's to the Linebacker to watch with them. It's senior dad's weekend and there's tons of events planned for it but these girls wanted to give their dads a taste of their real college lives. "We we're hoping to give them the college experience of it being loud and exciting and people cheering for Notre Dame," said Meghan Vismara. And Celeste Norris said, "I wanted him to really experience Notre Dame and true game day since we can't be in Boston the Backer is the place to be." The girls think it's great to be able to show their dads a part of their lives. "It's really awesome to be able to share one of my favorite places in South Bend with him," said Bethany Emenhiser.
And the dad's were more than happy to spend the time with their daughters watching the Irish.
Not all of them are die hard Notre Dame fans but for one of the dad's who has been following the team all his life, Saturday night was a dream come true. "It's overwhelming. Ever since before she was born I've been going to the grotto and praying one of my kids could go here and to be here watching this with her it's just overwhelming," said Steve Grumley.
