Students at Elkhart Central and Elkhart Memorial High Schools are doing what they can to improve the quality of life for folks in the "City with a Heart." And to do that they plan on donating their time.
At noon on Tuesday the Superintendent's Student Advisory Councils from both schools will hold a press conference at Church Community Services located at 907 Oakland Avenue. The students will announce how they plan to involve other Elkhart high schoolers in providing 30,000 hours of service to their comm unties.
They have until May 24 to reach that goal. And if they pull it off they plan on celebrating by attempting to break a world record. Central and Memorial will face off in the largest game of red rover.
