With the holiday season approaching some college students learned about distracted driving on Tuesday.
The UNITE Arrive Alive Tour stopped at Saint Mary's College. The tour educates drivers on the dangers of texting while driving and driving drunk. Students used a high-tech driving simulator and watched an impact video.
One student, Emily Murphy, says she didn't do too hot on the simulated road. "I know everyone is texting and driving..saying its fine because they're checking their messages but just typing a little note to my mom saying have a good day or something I killed people. So it makes me think again about it.
Murphy also says she got citations for driving off the road and wrecked the car pretty badly.
