Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels made a stop at FOX28 on Thursday to talk about the end of his 8 years in office.
He says he's proud of his accomplishments, including the controversial lease of the Toll Road. Governor Daniels says the lease has opened the door for more road projects.
"Hundreds of happy people who had given up thinking it would never happen. That's happening all over. 31 from South Bend to Indianapolis, next week I69 down on the southwest, the road they've dreamed of. We've fixed one in seven bridges in the entire state in the last few years," said Daniels.
During his two terms Governor Daniels says he spent 125 nights in the homes of Hoosiers, but last night's stay at a home in LaGrange County was his last. "I'm pretty sure last night was the final overnight stay of Mitch the mooch."
