Habitat for Humanity is pulling the sheet off its brand new project this afternoon.
A once-vacant 24,000 square foot building on Grape Road will now be the home to the organization's new ReStore location. Habitat for Humanity says this place will allow folks to buy home improvement supplies at a discounted price while helping people in Michiana become homeowners. This new facility replaces the ReStore that was on McKinley for many years.
ReStores sell new and used home improvement supplies at a discounted cost. The profits from ReStores go directly to support Habitat for Humanity building projects.
This isn't the only ReStore in the area either. Habitat for Humanity opened its location on Main Street in South Bend back in October of 2010.
