Kosciusko Co. Sheriff's Dept. still investigating morning car crash

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate a head-on crash that happened this morning just south of Leesburg. It happened on South Road 15, just north of Levi Lee Road.

Deputies and emergency personnel were called to the scene at 11:48 a.m. Firefighters from the Leesburg/Plain Township and Warsaw/Wayne Territory Fire Departments extricated drivers from both cars.

The drivers were airlifted to a local hospital. Officials say Crace has reportedly extensive injuries, while Gholson reportedly has serious internal injuries.

Investigators say a southbound Ford Edge, driven by 41-year-old Jennifer M. Gholson of Warsaw, crossed the centerline, hitting a northbound GMC truck. 41-year-old Sam E. Crace of Roann was driving the truck.

Its still unknown why Gholson crossed the centerline.
