The Irish are gearing up for their last home game of their undefeated season. And fans say it's time to pull out all the stops to help keep them from losing. We spoke with some fans Friday about their game-day superstitions.
Patrick Drouilhet said, "I wear the shirt every game." Caroline Scheid said, "I'm a very superstitious person so every game I wear my shamrock socks." Paul Babiak said, "I wear my lucky boxers with shamrocks on them. I won't show you that here." Bill Hittler said, "I usually wear four layers of green." Casey Gross said, "I always bought a jumbo cookie with ND on it and I have to eat it before every home game."
And they've all got their reasons for what they're doing. Hittler said, "a good way to boost the team morale and think about all the players that have played on the team before and all the players that will come." Drouilhet said, "Because I want Notre Dame to win." Because they wouldn't dare want to be the reason for any other outcome. "I missed it one time and it was when we lost to USC a couple years ago," said Gross.
