Saturday was Notre Dame's last home game of the season. At the tailgate fans were going all out to celebrate.
From bagpipes to pop music you could find almost anything at the tailgate. Whether it was the music, apparel, or the food. Wearing blue and gold striped overals, Marty Pokorney said, "these are 11 and 0-veralls." Alex Blair said, "we have a turducken going, which is a chicken stuffed inside of a duck stuffed inside of a turkey."
Notre Dame Fans we're making this last tailgate special in several different ways. Sandy Roberson said, "we're having a chili cook-off. Everybody brought crock pots of chili and everybody's tasting each one." Jayson Smith said, "we have a DJ, video monitors, we're just going crazy."
And fans put a lot of effort into making it a tailgate to remember. "We've been planning for this for weeks," said Smith. "Drove all the way from Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. Took 20 hours to get here," said Rob Fry.
