The Constantine Falcons are heading to Detroit for the Division 6 Football Championship for the second straight year after they defeating Monroe St. Mary's CC 34-16 Saturday afternoon.
Constantine's win was geared by a strong running game lead by sophomore halfback Justin Hull, who finished the game with 245 yards and 1 touchdown. Hull and his teammates combined to rack up 435 rushing yards Saturday.
Constantine (11-2) will face off against two-time defending Division 6 Champions Ithica (13-0) on Nov. 24. Ithica defeated Constantine last season, but the Falcons were without their starting quarterback Tommy Reed, who will play this year. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit.
Monroe St. Mary's (10-3) defeated Constantine in the playoffs twice in the last four seasons and the Constantine seniors said they used those loses as motivation to get the win.
