Some downtown South Bend businesses aren't complaining about home game crowds this season.
It may be too early to see the financial impact the undefeated Irish had on businesses, but what can be measured is sales.
The South Bend Chocolate Company have ordered more Irish themed snacks than in past years.
Folks working in retail hope that the successful Notre Dame football season combined with holiday shopping brings people downtown.
"Not only is it exciting for South Bend and the University but obviously anytime you can get more people to come downtown and not only see our store but just to drive more traffic downtown to the area," says Nisa Buller with South Bend Chocolate Company.
Owners of downtown pop up stores say traffic has been steady and want that to continue even when temperatures get colder.
