We all love the turkey and mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving but what if you couldn't afford the holiday meal? Holy Cross College students want to make sure no one goes without Thanksgiving dinner. That's why they packed 59 boxes full of food Sunday for families in need. They raised over $5,000 to be able to buy all the food for the boxes. Claire Doriot, who helped organize the event, said the students do needy families, "can come together for thanksgiving with their family and have this meal that they may not be able to have otherwise."
The boxes of food were delivered to the families today. They're stocked with all the traditional Thanksgiving fixings plus food for a week.
