For many of us, Thanksgiving week means a lot of stress. Preparing a big meal can be a monumental task, but imagine making a Thanksgiving Feast for a school full of people.
Students, teachers, grandparents and parents all gathered at St. Pius X in Granger for a big meal on Monday.
The tradition started five years ago and has continued to grow. "It's exploded into this wonderful, wonderful huge event, serving over 900 people today," said Principal Elaine Holmes.
The event is not only a chance for the community to say thanks, but it also serves as a collection drive for St. Vincent DePaul. Parents who come to the event are encouraged to drop off canned foods.
