Thanksgiving came early at the Ronald McDonald room at Memorial Hospital Wednesday. Members of the Penn High School hockey team delivered a full meal to the families there including a turkey, rolls, salad and pumpkin pie. The players were hoping to brighten the holiday of families going through a stressful time. Their coach says he wanted to prepare them for life after hockey by teaching them to give back. "As head coach I try and get our parent group to find ways of exposing our players to giving back to the community whether its volunteering or giving financially," said Ryan Geist.
This is not the first time the team has done community service. They've helped Feed the Children and Hope Mission.
