Benton Harbor's Emergency Financial Manager says he wants to give citizens a chance to voice their opinions on the future of the city's police department. Now we know when that chance will be.
Last week, Joe Harris said he was looking at several options after some key millages failed. One option suggested shutting down the Police Department. Law enforcement in Benton Harbor would have then been taken over by the Berrien County Sheriff's Department.
On Tuesday, December 4, there will be a public hearing on the issue. It will take place at the Business Growth Center at 200 Paw Paw at 6:00pm.
