Cassopolis students got a crash course in healthier living from a former NFL quarterback on Monday.
It was Ranger Wellness day at Ross Beatty Jr. Senior High School. The students were able to do things like practice balance, exercise, go through an obstacle course and cook healthy meals.
Former Detroit Lions QB Eric Hipple was also on hand to talk to the kids. He shared his own experience with depression
The school hopes there's one message the students take away. "The thing is getting them to make good choices," explained Assistant Principal Hiawatha Francisco. "One good choice would make a difference and lead to other good choices."
The YMCA, the Army, National Guard, and Martins were there among the groups taking part in the event.
