Promoting a healthier lifestyle!
That's what they were doing at Ross Beatty Jr. Sr. High School, Monday.
They called it Ranger Wellness Day and the students were able to do things like practice balance, exercise, go through an obstacle course and cook healthy meals.
A former NFL quarterback for the Detroit Lions, Eric Hipple, was also on hand to talk to the kids.
He shared his own experience with depression. The school hopes there's one message the students take away.
Hiawatha Francisco, Assistant Principal Ross Beatty Jr. Sr. High School says,
"The thing is getting them to make good choices. One good choice would make a difference and lead to other good choices."
Groups like the YMCA, the Army, National Guard helped out, too.
