The 12-0 Irish are heading to the national championship in January, and the Chamber of Commerce of St. Joe County couldn't be more pleased.
They say every home game has about a $10 million dollar local economic impact. Now that the team is headed to the Championship game, and that brings even more positive attention to South Bend.
"It's a true shot in the arm all year long," says Jeff Read with the Chamber. "What Notre Dame does for our community, in particular when we're able to go on the national stage and show people that this is a pretty cool place."
