The Kroc Center received a special gift..its first $20 gold coin this holiday season.
The coin was dropped into a Salvation Army Red Kettle in Mishawaka.
It was originally made in 1904 as a 20 dollar gold piece..
Its now worth more than a ticket to the B-C-S national championship game.
Its estimated to be a little over $1,800.00!
"I was surprised when they told me about it. So happy they told me about it," said bell ringer George Shull.
"Isn't it awesome that people really just sometimes do things for the right reason," said Senior Kroc Officer Salvation Army St. Joseph County Major Bob Webster. "To be able to help somebody and they don't have to have all the pomp and circumstance that goes with it."
This is the third year in a row the Saint Joseph County Salvation Army has received this coin.
The kettle campaign collects money to help those in need, especially during the holidays.
