Going to the BCS Championship lottery-winner style

Posted:

What can you buy with $550 million?  Though after taxes, you'll have less than the total jackpot, does make for a nice round(ish) number to do some calculations.

Say you'd like to go to the BCS Championship in style.  Let's start with a Gulfstream G650 jet or a "G6".  That will run you about $60 million plus the cost of a pilot, co-pilot, at least one flight attendant and fuel.

You'll need a place to stay in Miami.  How's about a 10 bedroom, 11 bath, 23,000 square foot home.  It's a steal at $100 million.

You'll need to drive there from the game.  How's about a luxury coach.  The most expensive we could find was the Vantare Platinum Plus for just $2.5 million.

Of course you actually have to get tickets to the game.  If your looking for a luxury suite (and let's be honest, you're looking for a luxury suite) that will come to $99,000.  That's the cheapest thing on your ultimate fantasy list.

Now if you wanted to rent, you'd save a ton, but if you win the Powerball you'll have the money to just buy it anyway, so why not.

Add in a few thousand for "incidentals" and your still looking at under $163 million.  What a deal!
