
Mishawaka High School Quarterback Sam Schrader has been named the 2012-13 Gatorade Indiana Football Player of the Year.
Schrader rushed for 3,264 yards and had 29 touchdowns, helping lead the Cavemen to a runner-up finish in Class 4A.
Schrader is now a finalist for the Gatorade National Football Player of the Year award, which will be announced in December.
Last year's Indiana winner, Gunner Kiel, is now playing for Notre Dame.
The is the 28th year for the award, which is presented in collaboration with USA Today High School Sports.
