The Red Cross needs your help in providing gifts for the child of a soldier.
The Elkart County Red Cross is collecting gifts for our local National Guard Unit's 1538th Transportation Company.
The unit's annual Christmas party is this Sunday and many of the soldier's children do not have gifts.
There are 104 children ranging in age from infant to 14 that are waiting for someone to be their Santa.
"Alot of the kids we're talking about are 6 years old and younger, alot of these kids were born when their Father was away at war, its a special opportunity for our community to show our support and make sure those families are well cared for," says Frank Connolly of the Red Cross.
