Dense fog across much of central and northern Indiana has delayed the start of school in dozens of districts.
The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for Monday morning for all parts of the state roughly north of Interstate 70. The weather service says the combination of unseasonably moist air and light winds have caused fog that can reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less in some locations.
The fog is expected to clear by late morning.
Most schools that issued delays pushed back their openings by two hours.
