Two injured in overnight accident in South Bend

Two people are in the hospital after an accident in South Bend.

It happened near the corner of Sunnyside and Belmont Avenues. Dispatchers tell FOX 28 a car slammed into a tree at that intersection.

Police are still investigating to determine what caused the car to go off the road. There is no word on the condition of the people who were involved.
