The Saint Mary's College library staff is working on a unique Christmas display. A tree made entirely of magazines. The magazines are bound in binders to look like books.
The green are the tree, the red represents the ribbon, and the yellow are the lights. When the tree is done it'll be a little over seven feet tall and will have over 5,000 magazines.
"Possibility of being a unique Christmas tree to create for the library. In the past we've had just a traditional tree but it became intriguing about this idea of using books," said Archivist John Kovich.
The tree's topper will be a book named "A Child Asks for A Star" by a former Saint Mary's Professor. The tree will be on display for a few days after Christmas in the library at Saint Mary's College.
