The American Red Cross has been very busy this year with Superstorm Sandy.
So volunteers are in high demand.
That's why the Elkhart County Chapter of the Red Cross held a training class tonight for future volunteers.
They learned how to distribute Trainees learned how to distribute large amounts of supplies efficiently.
These trainees will eventually join the more than 100 volunteers from Michiana deployed to disaster zones.
"We've been one of the most active areas in the country in terms of getting volunteers out to help," said Executive Director Frank Connolly. "This is a community that believes in helping their neighbors and their fellow citizens."
The Red Cross is always looking for people to train.
