Giving back to the community makes you feel good, but one organization was offering more to their donors Saturday. South Bend Medical Foundation offered free gift wrapping to anyone who donated blood. All you had to do was bring your unwrapped presents in and they'd be wrapped for you while you donated. South Bend Medical Foundation said it's a way to give back to their donors. "What our donors do for us is really an amazing thing. They are giving the gift of life and they generally get nothing in return," said Blood Donor Recruitment Manager, Christina Tembo
Still have presents that need wrapping? Don't worry, they'll be gift wrapping for blood donors the next two Saturdays. Saturday December 15th it'll take place at the Elkhart Donor Center on the ground level of Elkhart General Hospital from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Saturday December 22nd you can get your gifts wrapped while donating blood at the Mishawaka Donor Center at 118 West Edison from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
